FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We understand the importance of communication and transparency between the attorney and the client during the case. Although, we would like to speak with you weekly by phone, that would be neither practical nor productive. Legal matters have a tendency of stretching out over an extended period, during that time the attorney is preparing for your court date.

It is our goal to keep the cost of our legal services down while maximizing communications with you. We will keep you abreast of pertinent information that transpires with your case and we will respond to your questions in a timely manner. Additionally, we will notify you when your presence is required in court or the office.

For an expeditious response, please contact one of our legal assistants, as they are informed on all aspects of your case. If for any reason our legal assistants cannot answer your question, he/she will arrange to have Steven L Washington  contact you as quickly as possible, as we understand the importance of your inquiry. 

Should you reach us after business hours, please leave a message so we know your concern in advance. Either your attorney or a legal assistant will contact you the next business day.

We strive to provide our legal services at a reasonable cost. We will inform you of the associated cost during your first visit. Attorneys are paid under various fee arrangements to include, hourly, flat, a contingency fee, and/or other service fees.

At times, additional services are necessary, which can increase the cost. Services are discussed with clients prior to being rendered, at that time we will explain the benefits of such service options.

Call our office and you will be directed to the person who can best assist you with the question. No questions pertaining to your rights, duties, or obligations should go unanswered.

Office visits are by appointment only. We encourage our clients to schedule meetings with us during regular business hours. Evening appointments can be scheduled to accommodate a client regarding urgent legal matters that cannot wait until the next business day. You will be notified, in advance, of surcharges.
